Light Your World

Our school group had a field trip to the Park Manor Retirement home here in Avon. We did this last year, and enjoyed it once again this year. It is such a blessing to see the smiles from "grandmas and grandpas" that may not have family nearby around the holidays. We did a little of our program that we will have next Thursday. Mainly you heard sweet little sounds of Christmas songs...or just noises from the little ones. Precious.

This is Andrew giving a cookie to a sweet little lady that just ate my boys up.

And this is part of the group singing their songs.

So I am seriously thinking about adopting one of these grandmas and making regular visits with my boys. The blessing goes both ways. I am in now in the middle of making cookies, buckeyes and other yummies. We are having 4 couples over tomorrow evening for a Christmas gathering. The song that was playing on the radio reminded me of what we did this morning...and what we can do every day to "light our world". It's by Newsong.
Light your world
Let the love of God shine through
In the little things you do
Light your world
And though your light may be
Reaching only two or three
Light your world
