Our Weekend

We had a good and cold weekend here!  Not a whole lot going on.  We hardly wanted to be out anywhere!  All the snow is on the ground still, but a warm up is coming to melt it all away.

My niece took off  for college this weekend.  It really hit me hard.  I guess it's the aunt in me that worries and also how old I feel know my niece is in college!  We've been sending each other a lot emails and texts, so I know I will keep in good touch with her.

Saturday I went to the library and got a ton of books on the USA and Indiana.  We started some of that this morning.  I will spend at least two weeks on that, maybe more.  I sent off for some info on other states.  Andrew wanted to know more about Arkansas, Texas, Florida, New York and California.

Sunday we had a great time with some friends that came over for lunch after church.  I fixed a big dinner.  Sunday night it was girls night at the coffee shop.  We went together while our big kids had Bible drill.  Starbucks can't be known for the hot chocolate.  Blek!  I'm not a coffee drinker, either.

This is my handsome preacher boy.  I love this kid and his love for memorizing scripture.  Sure, it's for that beloved prize his sweet teacher gives him.  But he loves doing it.

This Monday hasn't started off the greatest with some bad news, but God is in control!  Andrew and Ethan are at a friend's house for the afternoon/evening.  I will enjoy some time alone while my Samuel sleeps.
