Our Weekend

This is the weather for outdoor fires. We had three of them this weekend, one of them being Friday evening. It's so relaxing.

Saturday we got up when we wanted to. That was nice! We ran some errands to get ready for my next co-op class and then went to a festival at a church just down the road. We've been every year since we have been at this house. The boys always have a blast!

Sunday after church we had a friend's kiddos come home with us. They spent the entire day here. They are just like family!

So just enough for a weekend around here!

Celebrating Us

We celebrated our marriage this weekend.  It was a lovely night out.  Papaw and Nana came to watch the boys.  Chad's dad gave us the keys to his Mini Cooper for the night!  We felt like teenagers going to the prom in dad's car!!  It really made it that much more fun.  We headed downtown.  We walked around the mall for a while and then went to eat dinner at St. Elmo's.  That was a beautiful place and delicious food!  From there we walked and drove around town a bit.  We shopped a little and then went to a local state park to just spend some nice and quiet time together.  The weather was perfect.  It was a wonderful  and relaxing evening with just the two of us.

I love my man.  I am so blessed to have him!  The card I got him said it perfectly - I am thankful...spoiled...and so very blessed.  I have the man of my dreams and the man of my prayers.

Our Weekend

We had such a nice and relaxing weekend!  I love weekends like this!

Chad took off a half day on Friday.  It was a gorgeous day to.  We went over to his dad's to help him get his little car ready to sell.  It shined up nicely.  It was a fantastic playground for my boys!

We hung out there until way after bedtime.  It was a nice and relaxing time.  I always enjoy being over there with his dad and stepmom.  You always feel like you can just be yourself.  Nana fixed a yummy dinner, too, with a raspberry crisp to die for.  I'm going to do something with the ones Ethan picked soon!

Saturday we just messed around the house most of the day.  Chad made this and hung it on my island this weekend.  Simple, yet so handy.  I always have something on the corner of the counter.  This will hold my planner and books we are reading at meal time during school.

We made some fun blocks made from sticks.  Like most boys, mine love sticks!  I find them all over the place...even inside.  So we made some fun with them with this idea from Counting Coconuts.  I love her website and want to do more from it!

I made us a nice picnic lunch.  We went to the park and enjoyed the lovely evening together.  Then we went for ice cream!

Sunday was another blessed time at our church.  Our pastor preached an encouraging message on faith.  It was what I needed to hear to remind me, but also to use as an encouragement to others.  We spent the rest of the day at home just playing around.  It was pretty warm, so we stayed in quite a bit.  I made pizza on the grill and we watched Alice In Wonderland.  The old one, not that new one.  Andrew was glad it wasn't the new one because he thought that one looked scary.  I love the old movies.  Can't beat 'em.  Sunday evening we hung out on the porch.  We all loved on Oliver, and visited with our neighbor gals.  I also called my momma and had a good chat with her.  We came in and put the kids to bed.  I listened to a sermon on-line that my brother preached last Sunday.  It was very good.  I"m so proud of that boy and love him so much.  I need to see them soon!

It's going to be a hot week.  We are determined to swim at least a couple of times this week before school starts the next!

My Trip to Ohio

It was a busy and fun week last week.  I wanted to post some fun pictures, though, of my last weekend trip to see my family in Ohio!  We enjoyed spending time with my mom and dad.  The boys always love riding bikes and running around their beautiful yard.

My niece and I celebrated our birthdays a little early.  We used to do that a lot when I lived around there.  I love her!

I'll post lots of pictures of my week with Rachel and Abbie soon!

Our Weekend

Friday we spent the day swimming.  So we had Daddy bring a pizza home and watched a movie.  Then I went shopping around town for a few things.  Chad finished our headboard.  I will post a picture soon!

Saturday Chad got up early to do some work at a friend's house.  Our pastor's two boys came to play while their parents went house hunting.  They all did great and had a good time together.  They came back around dinner time, so we all went to the Mexican restaurant and had dinner together.  We really enjoyed spending some time with them.  We had a delicious dinner with our 6 boys!  Chad went into Lowe's for a couple of things. I asked him to check the clearance paint because I was hoping to find a deal for A & E's room.  Well, God provided!!!  It was the gray color I wanted for their Star Wars room.  And it was $5!  And get this!  A $5 rebate printed out on the receipt!  What a blessing!  So I will be getting that project underway soon.

Sunday was a wonderful Lord's Day at church.  At the end of service, we voted on whether or not to move locations and it passed!  We are super excited about what's to come for our church.  God is moving us and we are ready!

Right after church we headed to Chad's mom's family reunion.  It's held at Chad's old elementary school.  The boys always love playing basketball and skating in the gym.  Here they are!

Andrew has basketball camp this week.  I have a lot I would like to get done.  I'm really going to try and stay focused!  I want to enjoy the rest of August, having lots of summer fun.  But I also have a lot I want to get done around here to gear up for school.  So I pray we both have a good week, spending our time wisely.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.   Matthew 6:33

Race Weekend

It was Brickyard weekend here in Indy!

Chad took Friday off.  We headed down to where his dad and stepmom camp.  We went to watch them practice.  It was the first time our boys had seen Nascar in action.  They loved it!

We hung out for the rest of the evening.  We left Chad there and took off for home.  We took baths and went straight to bed!

Saturday I took the boys over to Chad's mom.  Then I headed back down to Indy.  We had a nice evening just relaxing around camp.  Sunday was the  race.  We had great seats...same each year.  So glad we weren't in the sun.  #48 and #24 (our favs) had their pit stops right in front of where we were seated!

Chad's mom brought the boys back home to us on Sunday evening.

It was a great weekend!

Our Weekend

We had a busy weekend around here!

Most of Friday was spent finishing up Andrew's Mini 4-H projects.  They turned out really well.  He was so proud of them!  We did the following:  Nature - Leaves; Models - Airplane; Collections - Airplanes; Foods - No Bake Cookies.

Friday evening Chad and the boys went to pick corn with Papaw.  Chad worked for a farmer when he was at home, and they call us every year to pick sweet corn!  We love it!  They picked a ton and went swimming at Papaw and Nana's afterward.

I went to a Ladies' Night Out gathering at a pottery studio.  This was our second time doing it, and it was just as much fun!  We made plates this time.  So much fun!  I made a celebration plate to use at parties, etc.  If it turns out, I'll take a picture of it and share with you!  It's being beautified now.

Saturday morning I got up early to run some errands.  I came back and worked on all that corn for quite a while.  We have a dozen quart bags of corn in our freezer.  We gave quite a bit away.  Chad and Andrew took the 4H projects to the fair.

We had two couples and their families over for dinner Saturday evening.  Guess what we had?!?!  Corn!!  And chicken kabobs, grilled veggies on my recipe blog, hashbrown casserole, fresh fruit and french bread.  Mmmm...it was good!  A friend brought dessert.  We had a great time together!

Sunday we had another great day at church.  Some exciting things happening there!  God is at work, and we are excited!  Papaw came to help Chad with brakes on the van.  They wanted to get started on the tree house roof, but it rained!  So we all just hung out together.  I took off for a church meeting.  Come Sunday night I was beat!

Today was one of those Mondays where you just don't want to do a thing.  So I just decided that we needed a day at the pool.  We picked up our neighbor friend and made a day of it!

Wishing you a great week!

Our Week with Matt and Bekah

We had a great week with my niece and nephew.  Lots of fun and lots of pictures!

Monday we went to Chad's dad's house to swim and hang out there.  Bekah loved their dog, and she loved her!  We had a fun day there.

Tuesday we went to a local park for their Lunch Bunch program.  They received a great lunch, and I didn't have to worry about feeding them!  Then they played at the park around the creek.  They had a blast.  After that we went to Sonic for some cold slushies.

Wednesday we had to hang around here most of the day because we were getting new gutters.  After dinner that evening, we went to the RC flying field and to Wiggles for a fun treat.

Thursday we got up and pretty much went straight for the pool.  Our dear friends at church have opened their pool to us again this summer.  We are so blessed.  It is just so beautiful there!

Friday we went to ChickFilA for their Cow Appreciation Day.  We all ate for free!  It was pretty funny with all of us in our cow masks.  Matt was thoroughly embarrassed.  But I think maybe he thought it was worth it in the end.  Maybe not.  Heehee.  We had fun and made a memory!  After lunch we went to another park to play.  We also walked some trails.  After getting nice and hot from that, the kids decided they wanted to go swimming again.  So over to the pool we headed!  The family that lives there was going to be out of town all weekend, so we had Chad meet us there after work.  We ordered pizza and hung out until dark!

We played lots of board games, Wii games and watched some fun movies together.  They were Lego and Playmobil maniacs.

I made a photo book for them to take home.  I teared up putting the pictures together.  This was a special week that was about to end.

Saturday we ran around town and did some shopping.  My sister and brother-n-law came later that evening.  We had dinner together.  The kids begged to go swimming again.  This time it was dark, so we had all the lights on in the pool.  It was a fun and relaxing time.  I enjoyed chatting with my sister so much.  We got home late, went to bed late, and got up early for church.  Bekah played the offertory music.  She did such a beautiful job.  After church we all went to lunch.  We all piled in a circular booth at a local pizza parlor.  It was crazy, but a time I'll never forget!  We went back home and saw them off.

They had become a part of our family.  Andrew told me Sunday night, "When someone comes and stays like that I just feel like they just need to go ahead and stay and live with us."  I had to agree with him.  But I know my sister and her hubby were happy to have them back home.

Thanks, guys, for letting us have your babies for a week!  We enjoyed every minute of it.

4th of July Celebration

We had such a fun holiday!  Church was such a blessing.  We even got there on time with our five children!

That evening we had two couple from our church and Chad's mom and stepdad over for a cookout.  We had tons of good food.  I had everything decorated with red, white and blue.  It was great to be with friends and family.

We popped a ton of popcorn over the stove, packed them in bags along with some cheap candy from CVS, and headed for fireworks.  It was an amazing show.  The kids had a blast, and I loved watching them.

Our Weekend

We had a super fun weekend!  Here's just one picture to prove it!  Some of the grandkids gathered for a picture and grabbed up their Grandpa!  Lots more photos to come!

We brought my my niece and nephew from Ohio (ages 11 and 9), so I might be slow on the posts this week!  We have a fun week planned!

Our Weekend

We had a fun weekend!  It was hot, but we survived it!

Friday night was a blast!  We went to a friend's for a movie on the lawn.  The boys were so excited about it.  Andrew said it was the best idea ever.  We arrived just before dusk.  She had everything all decked out in a movie theme.  She amazes me!  It's so fun and I even told Chad that is one person I so admire!  If only I could decorate and entertain like she does!  She's a great host, and I know it's because her servant heart shines through.  On the way home (midnight!), Ethan wanted to pray and thank God for us being able to go!  Here are her adorable popcorn cupcakes...

So needless to say, we all slept in Saturday morning!  Chad took the boys and a neighbor out to the RC flying field.  I was able to run and few errands and just have some alone time.  Then I went out to the field.  We had fun, just sitting and chatting.  Here's my man at one of his favorite places to be...

Saturday evening I invited our neighbors at the last minute to have dinner with us.  We grilled out and ended up with a really nice dinner and fun time!  We even ended the evening with a fireworks show.  We had a great view from the park that's just across the way.

Church on Sunday was great.  We are so excited about our new pastor and love his dear wife and boys already!  I really loved and appreciated the sermon.  You can listen to it here.

Sunday evening we took off for a surprise trip.  The boys were so excited when they realized we were going to see Toy Story 3.  They loved it.  It was cute, as I expected it to be.  It was a great time for us together.

Here is a cute picture of Sam trying to beat the heat on the slip and slide.

So lotso fun!  I love summer!

Our Weekend

We had a good weekend around here!

Friday evening we had our usual pizza.  I didn't make it as planned.  I was just too tired for it!  We had a couple of our neighbor friends over for a throw together firefly party, a great idea I read about in Family Fun magazine!  It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was a good kick-off for our firefly studies!  I will post more about it in my "Firefly Unit Study" post.  Anyway, during that visit with our neighbors, a storm blew in and our electric went out!  So it ended up to be quite an eventful evening!  We finished our visit by candlelight!

Saturday morning I got up and went to some garage sales.  I so love shopping that way!  The cheapest thing I bought cost me 5 cents.  It was this brand new Usborne art book!!

We did some work around the house.  That afternoon Chad went to get a load of mulch.  We finally did it now that it is the middle of June!  But it looks so much better.  This just about completed my pond area.  I still have to get one more stepping stone!

We did make a cute stepping stone with the boys this weekend from a kit a friend gave to us.  It's so precious!

The rest of Saturday was spent at home.  Loved it.

Sunday we celebrated Father's day.  We have been blessed 3 terrific Dads.  And my boys have one fine dad, too!  They were so excited for the day to finally arrive.  We bought Chad a plastic tote thing to hold his Firefly airplane goods when he takes it places.  We filled it with all of Chad's favorite treats.  He loved it all.  I am so very thankful to have him as Daddy of my boys.
Sunday was an exciting day for our church, too!  Our new pastor and his family are here!  We had a welcome breakfast during the Sunday school hour.  They are excited to be here and we are all ready to move forward!

Sunday evening we had some friends from church over for a Father's Day dinner...steak, mashed potatoes, corn, cole slaw, fruit, rolls and two desserts!  I think they liked it just a tad. :)

I didn't get any pictures yesterday.  So I am determined to get a good one this week of Chad and his boys.

Our Weekend

We had a pretty quiet weekend around here!

Most of Friday was spent running around with Papaw You Betcha.  Then late that afternoon, I took the boys to Chad's mom's to spend the night.  I came back home and enjoyed an evening with my Honey.  We had dinner and went running around a bit.  We stayed up way too late watching the movie, The Blind Side, and just enjoying the quiet house.  We got up late and decided to head to the church for some work that needed to be done.  We did some sprucing up before our new pastor and his family come in this coming weekend!!  I did some yard work and set up the fellowship hall.  We came home and hung around until about 5:00 when the boys came home.  They had a great time!

Sunday was a great day at church.  One of our friends from church preached his first sermon and did a wonderful job!  We came home for lunch, I ran a few errands, and then we headed to Melanie's house to do some work.  Two other couples from church were there.  We had such a fun time of fellowship together.  It's just a shame that we have to have such fun when one of our buds in the group is about to move away.  There are always great memories that come from being with her, and for that I am thankful.

Today I had six boys.  A crazy but fun day.  My boys have now fallen victim to the "Silly Bandz" which I can completely understand the name now.  Silly, but cute.  It is just weird looking down at the dinner table tonight to see three boys with arms full of bracelets.  At least they are boy style...armed forces, construction and tools.  We had some more storms roll through tonight.  After that, some odd colored skies and one amazing rainbow.  Andrew and Chad ran out first.  The other two boys were in the tub.  I ran in and grabbed their little tails up out of the water, wrapped them up, and took them out to see it.  They thought I was crazy, but then they were glad I did.

Have a blessed week, y'all.  May you find rest in God's promises tonight.  I know I sure have.

Our Weekend

I loved this weekend.  It was so laid back, and so beautiful!

Mamaw came Friday evening for pizza.  We had a nice visit.  Andrew has become quite the photographer!  Here's a good one he took while she was here...

We finished painting the living room!  I sent Mamaw on a mission to find some pillows to go in there.  She found some already on Saturday!  I knew she would!  I have lots to do to accent the room, so slowly I will get it to where I want it.  I'm just glad to have it done and all cleaned up!  Chad worked on several little projects around the house.  The boys played all day outside.

After a long day of work around the house, we were all happy to pile on the couch with some popcorn.  We watched The Tooth Fairy.  Cute movie!

Sunday was a good day at church.  It was our interim pastor's last day.  Our new pastor comes the 20th!!  We celebrated the Lord's Supper, family style.  Pastor John had each family come up one at a time.  It was really special.

Sunday afternoon we just hung around home.  I made some more Grandma Jelly since we were out.  My boys won't eat anything else!  I'm not surprised that they love it so much.  It always shocks me at the amount of sugar you put in that stuff!  But we never use much.  A little goes a long way on a PB&J!

We went to a birthday party/cookout Sunday evening.  We had a great time of fellowship with them.  And she always lays out quite the spread!

Here's the birthday gal with her momma...

It is a gorgeous day here.  I have all kinds of things on my "to do" list this Monday afternoon!  Have a fantastic week!

Our Holiday Weekend

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend!  We went camping with

Chad's dad and stepmom.  It's always so relaxing!

Our Weekend

Chad and Andrew went to Man Camp this weekend.  They had a blast together.  Andrew told Chad Friday evening that he was so glad he was there, just him and his daddy.  I think it really meant a lot to Andrew.  It was a special time for Chad, too.  The best part Andrew would tell you about was him getting to shoot a BB Gun.  Also, the red sleeping bag Chad bought for him just a day before they went.
Here they were about to leave...

Andrew and Ethan hugging goodbye...

And Sam happy to send them off...

Ethan, Samuel and I went to a friend's high school music program.  She did a great job!  Ethan slept with me, so not a whole lot of sleep happenin' there.  :)  Most of Saturday was just relaxing.  We did go out shopping for me some shirts!  Sunday just Chad and Ethan went to church because Andrew wasn't feeling well.  I think he was just plain exhausted!

We had two couples and their kiddos over last night.  One is a dear, dear friend that is moving back home to Virginia.  Wahh.  Poor me, but I am so happy for them.  So Chad helped with some house projects over there and then they all came for dinner.  I fixed some yummy grilled chops, potato casserole, cole slaw, strawberries and rolls...and of course dessert!  We had a great time together.  I'm sure gonna miss them.

It's a hot and humid Monday.   The kids played in the water today.  I have half my laundry done and dinner is in the oven.  So not a bad start to our week.  Wishing you a great one!

Our Weekend

We had an enjoyable weekend here!

Friday was our last day of school.  Hooray!  Andrew finished with another 100% on his spelling test.  He had a great year, and I am really proud of him!  It's amazing to see how far he has come since the beginning of the school year.  We did Horizons for our Language Arts, Math and Penmanship.  We used Galloping the Globe and studied several countries.  We did some fun unit studies.  We checked about 161 library books (and used a ton we have here).  So lots of great learning happened.  Ethan basically went through an unofficial year of preschool.  He is all kinds of ready to begin kindergarten next year.  He's a bright boy who has soaked up a whole lot this year.  Samuel will be doing some preschool next year.  He has also picked up a lot this last year.  So we will be taking some break, doing some fun unit studies and getting ready for next year!

We met Daddy for lunch and did some running around that afternoon.  Friday evening we went to Papaw and Nana's house to visit.  We took Nana her Mother's Day gift.  We got pizza and enjoyed spending time together.  We even hung out in the RV, getting excited about camping season!

Saturday morning I got up and did some grocery shopping and garage saling.  I love going to garage sales!  I was able to get some nice things, including my super deal at the one I went to on Friday...a deep freezer!  Ours went out a couple weeks ago.  So the Lord led me to this one.  It was just for us!  What a blessing!  Saturday afternoon we went to the RC field for their Fly-In and picnic.  That is always fun for the boys, especially my big boy!  I love to see him doing things he enjoys.  Mamaw and Papaw came for dinner Saturday evening.  We had a  fun and relaxing visit with them.

Sunday after church we went out to eat and then to Lowe's. We got our garden goodies and came home and put them in.  It's a full one this year.  We dedicated it to the Lord and praying it will do well!

Our Weekend

It was a weekend at home, mostly, and it was nice.

Friday evening Chad had a sleep study done at the hospital.  He did well, according to the nurse.  We will get results sometime later in the week.  I did not like having him gone!  It's been a while since he has had to go out of town, so it wasn't easy to sleep!  Especially when I had like 2inches of bed space!  I had put Sam to bed and then as I was putting the other two to bed, Andrew asked, "Mommy, I thought since it was a special night and Daddy was gone that we could sleep with you."  I could not say no!  It was precious laying there talking to them.  They are some sweeties, that's for sure.  It always amazes me and melts me heart when they talk about God.  They really understand His love for them.

So anyway, I hardly got any sleep.  I was happy to see Chad.  We got up and had breakfast.  He took A&E to Lowe's to build a birdhouse.  It's cute.  They stained it when they got home.  I went running around to get some groceries and also some things for the upcoming weekend.  I scored big at Meijer!  Here's what I got:

3 five packs Kraft mac and cheese - will have to share these with a friend or something!

3 boxes CapriSuns - Will use for Andrew's party

3 packs cheese packets - Sam's fav!

2 boxes Oreos - will use for Andrew's party

1 box 12 ct 100 cal cookies

All for $3!!!  I so love deals like that!  I did quite a few at Target, too!  It really does help to pay attention to deals and clip coupons!

While I was gone, Mamaw and Papaw stopped by to give my boys a new pet.  It was a Venus Fly Trap plant!  Andrew has been wanting one for so long.  They love him!  We all researched some information about them.  So that was a great addition to our plant studies!

Church was good.  There's a fresh new spirit there.  We are all excited for our new pastor and what's to come for our church!

We came home and stayed in all day.  It rained the whole day.  It has rained a lot in the last few days, but we really did need it.  The boys are ready for a dry day, though!  We did get some things done inside, like our room. If there is one room I am always ashamed of, it's ours!  We always take our clean laundry in there and stack it up.  There's always extra blankets, pillows, and stuff like that all around.  So we completely cleaned it out, even the closet!  It feels great.  I have a cleaning list this week to get ready for Andrew's party this coming Saturday evening.

I am glad we didn't have any real scheduled plans.  That's the best kind of weekends, sometimes.

Our weekend

We had a wonderful weekend.  It started off early.  We skipped school altogether on Friday.  Andrew was ready for a break, and so was I.  I tried to get it done in the morning, but met quite a bit of opposition.  So I thought we could go get my haircut and come straight home and get 'er done.  The minute I got us all in the van, I was ready for something altogether different.  I was in a mood!  I got my haircut and Andrew's too, while we were there (I was tired of Andrew's hair being a mess and he hates fixing it).  Then we went for a car wash (I was sick of my van being so dirty).  We went to the church and set up the tables for Sunday's lunch (I thought I would go ahead and get that done while we were out). We went to Target and got new shoes for Andrew and Ethan.  (I was really tired of their shoes being so ugly).  I stopped and got a PM pizza for dinner and headed home right about the time Chad was coming home (Because I wasn't about to cook).  Glad that day was over.  Wheww.

Saturday Chad helped a lady from church move.  He also ran some errands.  He picked up a load of compost for the garden.  The boys went straight out to help weed and unload the dirt.  We hope to have a better garden this year.  Our strawberries are doing well!

We had some friends over that evening for dinner.  We grilled out some yummy chicken, made a salad, potato casserole and some rolls.  I also made a fancy ice cream dessert in these:

See my Recipe Blog for the chicken and dessert recipes!

Sunday was the best day of the weekend!  Our pastoral candidate and his family came.  They gave their testimonies during the Sunday School hour.  He preached during the service.  We all went downstairs for Qdoba lunch.  We came back upstairs and had a Q & A time with the pastor.  Then we voted him in.  And he accepted!!  So it's an exciting time in the life of our church!  I really like him.  I really like his wife.  And get this, they have 3 boys!!  In talking to him, we realize what a small world it is.  He went to college and is good friends with several of the guys that were in my high school youth group.  So that was a neat connection!  We so look forward to what the Lord has in store for us.  God is good!

We got home around 3.  We got to rest a bit before we headed over to a friend's house.  They had us and 2 other couples from church.  It was a great time together, partly a celebration for what had just happened early that day.  I love my church family.  I have such true friendships there.

Our weekend

We had a fun weekend away.  We went to Ohio to see my family and to attend a homeschool convention.  We had a great time.  We loved seeing all our family again. It was nice going back to my home church again and seeing lots of familiar faces.  We had an Easter gathering at my brother's.  We had a fun time, as usual, just being together.  It was also a sweet time of fellowship as we each read a passage from Isaiah 53.  We joined hands and prayed together right in the middle of their lawn.  I'll never forget that moment.

I didn't take a whole of pictures this time.  I think we were so busy with the convention and just exhausted in general that I didn't think too much of it.  :(  Here are a few...

[gallery columns="2" orderby="ID"]

My mom made Samuel a cape.  I think it fits him a little too well!  He flew all around her house.  We all got a kick out of watching him.  They loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa while we were gone.  My sister, niece and I had some good bonding time.

The convention was really good.  We heard a lot of well known speakers and visited a whole lot of vendors in the exhibit hall.  It was all very encouraging.  There are so many resources available now.  The possibilities are endless and somewhat overwhelming!  We were able to meet some of the speakers personally. I count it as such a blessing that are a homeschooling family.  I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.  It's a lot  of work, no doubt.  But it's so worth it!

We went to Ikea.  I got some storage stuff to work on projects this summer.  Yippee!

I also had a great conversation with my older brother today who wasn't with us this weekend.  I love him so much.  We have lived so far apart for so long, but I always look to him as a father figure.  I need to keep in better contact with them.  I really need to visit them!  And I am so glad he's finally reading my blog now!

We spent all day today outside.  I moved some plants around.  The boys helped me with their new little garden tools.  We managed to get our school done.  I tell ya, it's going to be hard to stay focused from here on out!  We might do a weather/storms study.  I asked Andrew what he would like to lapbook about and that was his idea.  So I will try to pull some things together for that.

Have a great week!

Isaiah 53:5

He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was
bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
